Coffin Bone Chip, Post Surgery Layup & Recovery

A draft gelding named “Abe” came to our farm for an extended layup and recovery following a coffin bone surgery to remove a chip.

Abe arrived in a leather bootie full of serum and blood
Dr. Branibar is flushing the cavity with sterile water, the coffin bone is exposed

Forging the biggest heart bar I’ve ever made, to this day!
