Case 2: Solar Bruising
Solar bruisingRadically concaved wide web aluminum shoePad riveted up in toe to prevent any pad pressure and allow sole to be totally protected with pressure from shoe or the groundGenerous amount of Magic Cushion to ease solar painLambs’ wool is the softest packing you can use (the same thing as what a ballerina puts in toe of her ballet slippers to go on pointe)Installed, sole covered, pain relief & rapid recovery
Case 3: Severe Bruising
Horse presented with tenderness in the toe area to the touchThe previous shoe lacks sufficient coverage and protectionThe sole needs to be protected from ground pressure and all obstruction, and just as important, from SHOE PRESSURE in the compression portion of the horse’s stride. An extra wide web shoe that is radically concaved out is the best choice. A rim pad properly cut out gives extra height for sole protectionThe shoe is now protecting sensitive areas without touching them. Venice turpentine was used at the time, Magic Cushion would work even better to ease solar pain & toughen it up.Pad was taped to the bottom to keep debris out until sole toughens up
